LINK: Lawyer: Vallejo kidnapping suspect Matthew Muller suffers from bipolar disorder
So if you have a mental illness, go out and kill someone, your lawyer will use that in your defense!

Come on!!

This is why mental illness is such a horrible thing in the eyes of the world. People shouldn’t use that as a defense and if it true and that’s why you killed people…then you don’t need a lawyer, you need help.

Good old fashion H E L P

Good luck, solider l!

Anderson takes part in an experiment to help understand how people live with mental illness

So glad that people in the public are trying to help out mental illness patients, but I think we may need someone who has a little more IT factor for it to be listened to…

How about Oprah?
Lebron James?

Thanks Anderson for bringing more light on such a dark subject!

Seattle shooting suspect treated for mental illness, attorney says

Seattle shooting suspect treated for mental illness, attorney says

“The suspect in the Thursday shootings at Seattle Pacific University has been treated in recent years for a “long-standing mental illness,” which his attorney said might have prompted the deadly assault inside an engineering building at the small Christian campus.”

Oh really… you don’t say.

It seems like our brethren doesn’t know how to yell out for help. Or maybe the people around them are denying them help. I don’t know what’s going on but I know that there needs to be a way for them to yell out before hurting someone…

or maybe they have been yelling for help, but no one is listening…

Are you left brained or right? Well if you don’t know find out HERE. For me, I use both sides of my brain equally. The brain is a deep deep place. Enjoy the test, the photos, and YOUR BRAIN!!

Nearly 1 in 5 US Army soldiers had mental illness before they enlisted: study

Nearly 1 in 5 US Army soldiers had mental illness before they enlisted: study

I don’t much about anything military, so but I quote this from the article:

“One reason for the rise in these figures may have been the rush to fill ranks during the Afghanistan and Iraq war years, with recruiters telling enlistees to not volunteer that they had mental health afflictions.”

(Read more:

Are these recruiters getting money with every person enlisted through them? If so, WE NEED TO CUT THAT. How many mentally illed people UN-VOLUNTARILY were there too? If you can’t tell the people around you sometimes that you have a mental illness, then how are you going to tell a recruiter that is waving money and benefits at you.

I wanted to join the military. I stood crying in my living room to my husband about how I might think that the military was the only thing left for me. My life was shit. I was going to amount to nothing.. I was also in the not medicated, drinking, smoking, losing it, mind running, really really angry, happy one minute, bad thoughts zone, but thought about enlisting. I didn’t.

I didn’t want to put someone’s else life in my hands at times, when I couldn’t hold my own.

So, here I am..

Health law may not broaden access to mental treatment

Health law may not broaden access to mental treatment

“The Affordable Care Act requires insurers to cover mental health care just as they do physical care, but a new study shows only half of psychiatrists accept insurance”

What? Are you kidding me? Just kick us while were heading down. I thought that Obamacare was suppose to help us…now doctor’s aren’t even accepting it!?

What a crock of shit.

Who are these people making these decisions? Are they even consulting mental illness patients?

Is it Bipolar or Depression? New Brain Scan May Have the Answer

Is it Bipolar or Depression? New Brain Scan May Have the Answer

So… “A new type of brain scan that measures blood flow in the brain may be able to help better diagnose bipolar disorder at an early stage and further distinguish the disorder from depression, according to a study conducted by researchers at the University of Pittsburgh.”

How awesome, but HOW SCARY. Do you really think this can happen, and if they can tell now, what else can they tell…?

CNN can kiss it!

Mental Illnesses and Guns Oh My!

CNN is now a main reason we have a stigma about mental illnesses.

I put into their search box ‘Mental Illness’ and the article that pop up a story asking ‘how can people with mental illness buy guns? It only takes one person to mess up things for the rest of us. Now, I am looked at as CRAZY and PSYCHO because I was born with something.  I understand its important, and it is fresh in the minds of the world what happened at the elementary school, but what happened to EXPLAINING what mental illness is? Your making people scare of something that they know nothing about. Man…its getting harder out here for us.

I wonder if I should buy a gun know.. just in case.

Read everything you can

This is a great article about a book that I would like to read. its on the subject ofBi-polar. I like how NPR isn’t scared to talk about mental illnesses. They cover good news, and what’s important around the world.
