Being Married to a Person with Depression or Bipolar: 6 Survival Tips By THERESE J. BORCHARD

This is great. I will have to put some of these into play when I get married in Sept. I tell you, it’s not easy living with this, and I KNOW it’s not easy for our loved ones. I hate being that person who is always feeling some sort of way every day, and I even hate it more for my fiance. I hope we can grow with this illness, together.

  1. I loved these survival tips. Thanks for sharing. When I was first diagnosed with bipolar, my husband found a book called “Loving Someone with Bipolar Disorder: Understanding and Helping Your Partner” by Julia Fast. I actually have found this book to be very helpful even just reading it for myself. Perhaps it would make a nice gift for your fiance? It’s kind like those “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” books, but instead it’s “What to Expect when you’re married to someone with Bipolar Disorder”.

    Congratulations on your impending marriage!
